UPDATES
What changed.
The site is in beta and changes often. The newest update is first.
A Passport that stamps back
- ChangeThe Passport has one title, and if you are not signed in, the sign-in card comes before the book.
- NewOne Next stamp bar under the book points at a neighborhood on the page you have open.
- NewA new stamp stays blank until you scratch the gold, then lands on its page and the count ticks up.
- NewStickers at 1, 5 and 10 stamps, and a full book of 14 turns to a gold seal and a gold poster.
- ChangeThe book's pages are dimmer in dark mode.
- ChangeThe Passport's address is now /#passport. Old links still open it.
- FixThe Passport's activity numbers and milestones now count the dates finished on this phone, the same as the stamp book.
Plans you can follow, start to finish
- FixNo car now means it: every hop is a walk or the streetcar, and a plan that would need a car says so.
- FixWhen a stop drops out of a plan, its name, description and travel notes drop out too, and the plan says what was left out.
- FixA movie or show with no time picked yet says to choose one, instead of showing an exact start.
- FixWalking times follow the distance, about 20 minutes a mile.
- ChangeWhat's On on Home leads with evening events across the weekend.
- ChangeExplore lists events soonest first.
- ChangeSaved dates show the start time.
- ChangeThe About page now walks through how to plan a date and what each part of the site does.
A new Home, Plan Together, and dates that travel well
- NewHome opens with Tonight, This weekend and Pick one for us: tap one and get a whole date, planned.
- NewPlan Together has a new look: answer on your phone, your half is sealed in an envelope, and you open the three plans together.
- NewDinner before a show plans the meal around the curtain time at 16 Kansas City venues.
- NewThe Passport has a stamp book for each neighborhood, with a scratch-off tile after your first date there.
- NewStart our date turns a plan into a now-and-next screen for the night itself.
- ChangeShared plans and calendar files keep booking notes beside each stop.
My Dates: every date in one place
- NewMy Dates holds every date you save. Each one moves from Want to go to Booked to We went.
- NewTap Booked it, pick the day and add a line like Table for 2 at 6:45. The bell reminds you for the 3 days before.
- NewA Next up card counts down to your next date.
- NewSwitch from the Shelf to a Calendar. A month grid on a big screen, a week strip on a phone, and on Finished a look back at the nights you went on.
- ChangeSaved and Date History are now one page with three tabs: Coming up, Finished and the Date Jar. Your saved dates, photos, notes and ratings are all still there.
- ChangeDates saved on a phone without an account can be marked as booked or done too.
A clearer start on Home, and a shorter date list
- ChangeHome now opens with one button, Build My Date, and says it takes about 30 seconds with no account.
- NewHome shows a finished example plan, with its stops, times, cost and why it fits, so you can see what you get before you start.
- NewA card on Home turns through what is new: the Fall Board, this week's date on a map, what is on this weekend, the Trail of the month and the Date Jar. Pause it any time.
- ChangeWhat's on at the top of Home now shows the place, the area and whether you need a ticket.
- ChangeThe list of date ideas is now in pages of 24, with filters for neighborhood, theme, budget, time of day and indoors or outdoors, and the best-checked dates come first.
A calmer Home, a better Saved page, new Board looks
- ChangeHome puts one main action at the top, and What's On is higher up the page.
- NewSaved dates are grouped under Next up with day chips, and open dates have an Add to calendar button for your phone.
- ChangeAfter a date, one tap on We went marks it done. Rating it is optional.
- ChangePassport now shows your achievements. Your details and your planning defaults each have their own page.
- NewOn a Board, I'm here checks that you are at the place and finishes the space in one step.
- ChangeThe KC Loop, Starter and Fall Boards have new looks. The Fall Board stays open through November.
- NewA new Halloween date in the planner and on the Fall Board: dinner at the Wise Guy, then the Cloven Hoof at Tom's Town. Book ahead and check it is still running.
- FixThe link at the bottom of every page is easier to tap on a phone.
- ChangeNew logo: a small Kansas City route monogram in the header, the footer, the app icon and share cards.
- ChangePages that mention a paid plan now say Free for a limited time, so you know what costs nothing today.
- NewThe Starter Board and the Fall Board are free.
- NewThe picture at the top of Home now changes with the season: leaves in fall, snow in winter, petals in spring, fireflies in summer.
- ChangeThe Together Plus page is clearer. It says what Plus is, what stays free, and that Plus is not open yet.
Fixes and changes
- FixSign out works again. On some pages the button did nothing.
- FixThe contact address is a working one now: ExploreKCtogether@gmail.com. The old one did not receive mail.
- FixTwo event sources that had stopped loading are read a different way now, so their shows can load again.
- NewEvents can now say the location is shared closer to the night, starting with Don't Tell Comedy KC.

- FixA date no longer says it fits your budget when a required ticket price is not posted.
- ChangeTop picks stay closer to your budget.
- FixThe wings date now ends at a nearby park instead of the library.
- ChangeNew passwords need at least 12 characters. Your current password still works.

Winter and holiday dates
- NewA winter and holiday page in Date ideas: the Plaza lights, Union Station, ice skating and more.
- NewMore November and December dates, including the Plaza Lighting Ceremony and Powell Gardens' Festival of Lights.
- ChangeThe Crown Center rink is planned through its full season, to March 14.
Calmer results
- ChangeSwaps offer the same kind of stop, and only ones open at that time.
- ChangeA finale is dessert, a drink, a walk or a daytime cafe, never a second dinner.
- ChangeResult cards fold their extra details into "More about this date".

- NewThe Fall Board is open: pumpkins, corn mazes, cider and Halloween dates.
- ChangeHundreds of places have checked hours and typical prices for two.
